If you’re considering restoring your oral health and smile with a dental bridge in Brookfield, Connecticut, then you can be on your way toward a beautiful smile and a top-notch oral health. A dental bridge is a strong restoration that can replace your teeth and give you the full function you need. To tell you more about this restoration so you can make the best decision for your smile, our dentist, Dr. Marianne Morelli, is happy to tell you all about dental bridge benefit and treatment details.

Benefits
A dental bridge can do many things for you and your smile, like replace your missing teeth, help you properly chew and speak, give you the force you need in your bite, maintain the shape of your face, and prevent your natural teeth from drifting out of place.

Treatment
The treatment first begins with your dentist numbing the anchoring teeth and surrounding gums with a local anesthetic. Then, she will trim those teeth to make room for the bridge (dental crowns hold the bridge into place). When the teeth are the perfect size and shape, she will make impressions of the smile and will send them to lab technicians who will custom make your restoration. While you wait for your bridge to be created, your dentist will cover the anchoring teeth with temporary dental crowns. When the bridge is ready, you will come back to our office to have it securely placed over your teeth.
